What is Cyber Crime – Computer crime is a form of illegal action by utilizing the science and technology of computer equipment to be able to commit crimes. Hardware and software theft that is often carried out by many people in this increasingly advanced era, for example, such as data manipulation, accessing computer systems illegally, then by telephone, and changing programs with illegal access.

Cyber crime is carried out with various purposes and ways of action. Starting from someone who is just having fun with the aim of testing the hacking skills they have learned, to someone who commits a serious crime that can cause huge losses to the victims – victims financially. One of the most common cyber crimes in our country, Indonesia, is that there is a social engineering attack or another language of social engineering. Social engineering is a form of manipulation technique that utilizes human errors to gain access to the victim’s personal information or valuable data.
Types of Cyber Crime
- Unauthorized access.
The first is a cyber crime that occurs when someone enters or infiltrates a computer network system without the permission of the owner of the data.
- Illegal contents.
The second part of the crime was committed by entering a number of data or information into the internet that we often use in our daily lives. The information is fabricated, unethical, and may be considered unlawful. - Cyber espionage, sabotage, and extortion.
For the third part of the crime, cyber espionage is a crime committed by using the internet to spy on other parties or victims. Meanwhile, if sabotage and extortion is a form of crime that will be carried out by disturbing, damaging, or destroying or randomizing data, programs, and or network systems on computer devices.
