What is Sketchup – SketchUp is a form of graphic design software that has been developed by Trimble. This graphic designer can be used to create various types of models, and the models created can be placed in the Google Earth section or commonly exhibited in the 3D Warehouse section. Available with two versions of SketchUp, namely: there is SketchUp Make and there is SketchUp Pro.

SketchUp is an intuitive 3D modeling application that allows you to create and edit 2D and 3D models using the patented “Push and Pull” method. The Push and Drag tool allows designers to extract any flat surface into a 3D shape. All you have to do as a user is click right on the object and then start dragging it until you like what you see. SketchUp is a program that has been used for various projects with 3D modeling such as architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, and video game design, to name but a few of its uses.

Sketchup Version Differences

SketchUp: SketchUp Make is a freeware version that you can download after successful registration for a free account. It’s free for home, personal, and educational use, and it starts with a free 30-day trial of SketchUp Pro. Even though Make is no longer updated after its release in November 2017, you can still download the installer to use on your computer.

SketchUp Pros: SketchUp Pro ($695) is a better, premium version of the software. It includes additional functionality such as the ability to be able to import and export with various file formats, direct access to the 2D documentation software section, layout tools, and a Style Builder that lets you create custom border styles for model sections.

Free version of SketchUp: The successor to Make, SketchUp Free was released in November 2017 as a web-based application. To be able to use it, you must register or register for a free Embossed ID using a valid email address. SketchUp Free doesn’t have many of the features that the Pro version has, but if you’re just building and viewing 3D models for your own personal use.
