What is Google Photos? Google Photos is an online photo storage and sharing service that has been developed by Google. This service was launched on May 28, 2015, exactly 7 years ago. And is a splinter from Google+, the social network and the company. Google Photos also received positive feedback after splitting from Google+ in 2015. Google Photos has a successor to the photos feature that previously existed on Google+.
