So it can be said that the domain is one of the components on the website. The name of the domain consists of two main elements, namely the site name and the extension. Domain name registration is managed by an organization called ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers).

What are Domain Functions?
Each website actually has a series of numbers (IP addresses) that can later be used to retrieve data from the server. Of course it is very inconvenient for you to remember each of these numbers when accessing a site.
Then, the computer uses the numbers to go to the server and asks for the website data, after which it presents it to you in the browser. The conclusion from that is that, the use of a domain is to make it easier for a visitor to access a website that will be opened via a browser.
