What is IntelUHD – Intel UHD Graphics is a graphics processor integrated into certain Intel Core processors for laptops. To be more precise, on 10th Gen Intel Core U-series processors, such as the i3-10110U, i5-10210U, and i7-10510U. UHD is not designed for hard core gaming. It provides more basic performance for managing notebook screens and some light games.

Intel UHD is very similar to its predecessor – the Intel UHD 620 of the 8th Gen Intel Core U-series processors. They have 24 graphical execution units. Intel also has its main lineup of 10th Gen Intel Core G-series chips, with upgraded integrated graphics processors – Intel UHD (G1) with 32, Intel Iris Plus (G4) with 48, and Intel Iris Plus (G7) with 64 execution units. This graphics processor offers somewhat better performance, but is still in the low-end graphics range.

Just like its predecessor Intel UHD 620 with similar specs, Intel UHD should run smoothly in many of the most popular games. Specifically, lighter titles like League of Legends, Minecraft, or Dota. It’s not a gaming-grade graphics solution with the potential to run smoothly all the latest AAA games, but it can be a very decent budget graphics option for light games with great power efficiency and cool operation.
Prior to the introduction of Intel HD Graphics, Intel integrated graphics was built into the motherboard northbridge, as part of the Intel Hub Architecture. They are known as Intel Extreme Graphics and Intel GMA. As part of the Platform Controller Hub (PCH) design, the northbridge was removed and graphics processing was moved to the same die as the central processing unit (CPU).
